Community Care

Lyndridge offers a range of social support and personal care services for people in their own homes, in and around the Okehampton, Chagford and Crediton areas and operates 365 days a year, 7am - 10.30pm, 7 days a week.

All our Care staff are competent and capable, and all are CRB/POVA checked and NVQ qualified (or training to attain this standard).

The purpose of the Community Care Service

  • To provide the necessary support and assistance to individual Service Users to enable fulfilment of their wish to remain as independent as possible at home, and assist in maintaining a safe and clean home environment, to this effect.
  • To provide advice and assistance in the provision of the necessary equipment, and benefits to enable the above.
  • To actively support each Service Users decision to live their lives in the manner of their choice.
  • To seek, and include wherever possible and with the permission of the individual concerned, the assistance of the Service Users family, friends or significant others in the provision of care and assistance, to effect that individuals wishes.

Aims and objectives

  • To enable all Service Users to achieve the quality of life, which is as close to their individual wishes as possible, within their own home and determined only by the limits of their personal health.
  • To give all Service Users the opportunity to live as independently as possible with dignity, and enable them to access practical and current information, so that they may make informed choices.

We offer a range of services including personal care, housekeeping and meals on wheels, and can also provide mobility adapted transport for healthcare appointments.   Furthermore, our hourly rate is fully inclusive, with no 'add-ons' for travel time.

Meals on Wheels

We are also available freshly prepared and home cooked, delivered to your home (Okehampton town only) from £5.00 per meal.
